Back to basics

Unedited, unadulterated, un-adulted. When I did my first exhibition (Kolkata in Colour, London 2010) I was quite proud of the fact that all the images were unedited – their strength lying in the composition more than post-production.

Since then I have made steps towards being a professional, full-time photographer. Most of my income now comes from photography, and my pictures have been affected in the progress. I have become much more heavily reliant on photoshop and lighting effects.

Yesterday I took some pictures of my nephews birthday party, using the b&w and raw setting on camera (the jpegs show as B&W, the raw stores all the info). Kids with facepaint are great subjects – here are the results:
